Drug Free Club
Drug Free Club is a voluntary club that gives students an added reason to say “no” to drugs. By participating, students agree to random drug screens during the school year. A-Tech will also offer several perks to the students to encourage their participation. We will schedule the first drug test within the first two months of the school year. After the student takes the first drug test, they will receive a membership card from the Drug Free Club. During the rest of the school year, they may be randomly tested. To participate in the program students and their parents need to complete the membership application and turn it in to the Student Services Office.
National Technical Honor Society
The National Technical Honor Society is an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education. As the honor society for Career & Technical Education, NTHS serves over 100,000 active members annually in both secondary and postsecondary chapters across the country.
Since its founding in 1984, nearly 1 million students have become NTHS alumni. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides close to $300,000 in scholarships annually, and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce.
SkillsUSA
SkillsUSA is a national organization serving a quarter-million high school and college students and professional members who are enrolled in technical, skilled, and service occupations, including health occupations. SkillsUSA also provides the opportunity for students to participate in career-technical competitions where they can demonstrate their skills alongside goal-oriented peers at the local, state, and national levels.
